Welcome to Anne the Child Coach

Welcome to my website for child coaching in Amsterdam and surroundings, in English. I support children from 4 to 12 years old in an integrative way (using their own strength) to feel better and develop.

Who am I?

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Anne Stoffers and I live in Amsterdam. I am 34 years old and specializing as a certified integrative child coach.

How did I get here? With more than 15 years of experience in childcare, I have seen a lot.

I want children to be truly seen, as the unique individuals they are.

I believe this makes the journey through life easier.

I admire the strength and adaptability of every child, and I feel privileged to contribute to this.

What is integrative child-coach

An integrative child coach supports children in a playful, positive, and goal-oriented way as they navigate emotional, social, or behavioral challenges. This approach doesn’t just focus on the problem — it looks at the child as a whole: their behavior, emotions, thoughts, body, and the environment in which they grow up (such as home and school).

What makes integrative child coaching unique is the use of a wide range of techniques and methods from different disciplines. This allows for a personalized coaching journey that is fully tailored to the specific needs of the child. Sessions may include play-based activities, creative exercises, conversation techniques, relaxation tools, and therapeutic stories.

The coaching is short-term, solution-focused, and fully aligned with the child’s perspective and inner world. At the heart of the process is the belief in the child’s own strength:
What does this child need — right now — to move forward?

Individual coaching

Annedekindercoach was founded with the aim of helping children in their personal development and well-being. I believe in the power of integrative child coaching and strive to ensure that every child who comes to me leaves with full self-confidence.

Parental guidance

Parental guidance is there to reconnect you with your child and yourself, for an even stronger bond. The goal is for you to find your own inner peace and strength by understanding yourself and your child better as a parent.

What I can help with:

  • Does your child complain of stomach pain when facing something stressful or difficult?
  • All feelings/emotions that your child doesn't quite know how to deal with.
  • Divorced parents, what now?
  • When you would like to understand your child better.
  • When your child experiences problems at school. (School observations)
  • When your child wants to make friends but doesn't know how.
  • When you have already tried all the parenting tips, but keep getting stuck in the same circle.
  • When you need a listening ear as a parent.

How does it work?

Recognizable?

  • You don't always understand your child and you feel so powerless.
  • You worry about what's going on inside your child, is he or she happy?
  • You worry about your child because of what has happened, such as a move, a divorce/school change.
  • You worry about your child because of a loss, such as a friendship or the death of a loved one or pet.
  • Your child is very insecure and anxious and you grant him or her the self-confidence he or she deserves.

Together, we can choose a different approach

Children are capable of much more than we as adults often think. What is needed for this is that they feel supported, heard and seen. As a parent, you can help your child build self-confidence. This self-confidence makes it easier to learn and make friends. In addition to making life easier and more enjoyable for your child and yourself, it also makes your child resilient so that your child can better deal with changes.

Through the KLUP sessions tailored to your child, we will work it out together! Away from that annoying pattern, towards a lasting solution.

The integrative child coaching is process-oriented and completely tailored to your child.

In addition to KLUP sessions, it is possible to do observations at school or at the after-school care.

How long does a coaching session take?

  • A parent meeting/introduction meeting lasts 60 minutes.
  • Coaching session lasts 60 minutes. On average, 4 to 6 sessions are needed, depending on the needs and goals.
  • An evaluation meeting 60 minutes. There is an interim evaluation and a final evaluation.
